Provident Hungary offers local kids a sporting chance

Sport is great for overall health as well as offering many other benefits, and the latest community initiative that our team in Hungary has launched clearly has this in mind.

Last weekend, almost 200 new or like-new soccer balls were collected for families in need by Provident Hungary staff and fans at the Ferencváros TC Debreceni VSC football game. The project is a joint initiative between Provident and Ferencváros TC.

The sports equipment will be distributed to children of disadvantaged families with the help of community partner, Interchurch Aid. The idea being that at least they won't miss out on the benefits of their favourite sport as well as the importance of belonging to a community through team play.

Commenting on the community initiative, Corporate Affairs Director for Provident in Hungary, Marta Palfalvi, said: "This is another great example of the importance of being active where our customers and customer representatives live and work, and supporting causes important to these communities."
