Provident Polska awarded Golden Leaf CSR 2017 Award

Provident Polska, one of Poland’s leading providers of home credit and part of International Personal Finance (IPF), is pleased to announce that for the third consecutive year it has been awarded the prestigious Golden Leaf CSR 2017 Award by weekly publication Politya in association with Deloitte Consulting.

These awards, now in their sixth year, recognise the most socially and environmentally responsible companies operating in Poland. This year only two financial services businesses received the prestigious award; the other recipient was the Polish Bank Zachodni WBK. Provident was commended for its commitment to supporting customer care, corporate governance, human rights, environmental protection, business integrity and social engagement.

David Parkinson, Country Manager of Provident Polska commented: “Provident Polska is delighted to have been recognised by the Golden Leaf CSR Awards, which celebrates our commitment to corporate responsibility initiatives. We are encouraged to see that every year competition for the awards increases, as Polish companies demonstrate further commitment to corporate responsibility activities. Receiving this award for the third consecutive year is an outstanding achievement.”

The award follows a number of other accolades received by Provident Polska this year. In 2017, the company was named Top Employer 2017 for the fifth time by the Top Employers Institute, Master of Business by Businessman.pl magazine, and Financial Brand of the Year by economic publication Gazeta Finansowa. Provident Polska is also amongst a select few to sign the Ethical Minimum Standard based on the UN Guidelines for Business and Human Rights.

Provident Polska is a leading provider of home credit in Poland. For the 6 months ended 30 June 2017, IPF’s Northern Europe region, which comprises the home credit businesses in Poland and the Czech Republic, had 798,000 customers and credit issued was £248M.
