Talent management

Jaroslaw Dabrowski from Provident Polska discusses his experiences of the International Personal Finance talent management programme.

"I've been working at Provident Polska- International Personal Finance's Polish business-for about nine years.

"In 2007, I was picked to be part of the first intake for the International Personal Finance leadership development programme. And it's been great-there's a good balance between theory and practice, and I've particularly enjoyed working with colleagues across the Group.

"As part of the programme, I was working on a project to analyse agent turnover.

"What the programme's really brought home to me is the importance of people to the business-both employees and customers. It's also helped me understand more about how International Personal Finance works, especially about the importance of agents to the business. I think this is going to help my future career development.

"Another positive about the programme is that it gives you exposure to the very highest level of the business-to Board members and senior employees. It's been an opportunity to build a network of contacts across the business.

"Now I'm working on a branch efficiency project. And I'm also still involved in the talent management programme-I'm going to be coaching the next generation of participants."
