Our CR and community involvement programme in Mexico is called 'Causes' and focuses on education and the environment. We also encourage employees to get involved in every initiative we support.
Socially Responsible Company award
For the second year running, we've been recognised nationally by The Mexican Centre for Philanthropy for our awareness of corporate social responsibility. Its Empresa Socialmente Responsible (Socially Responsible Company) award is evaluated against company ethics, quality of life, commitment to the community and the development, care and preservation of the environment.
Charity support
In addition to major financial donations for international and local causes, we support a wide range of projects and fundraising activities. In 2005, 1,800 children from families on low incomes benefited from our programme which rose to 4,600 in 2006.
One of the largest projects has been a series of football and bowling tournaments in which 200 of our team took part to raise valuable funds for local charities.
In Mexico we also support CiNia, an organisation helping integrate disabled people into the labour market, by providing working placements at our offices.
