Supporting non-profit making organisations
Our main focus is on establishing long-term partnerships with non-profit making community organisations and involving employees in the selection and implementation of projects.
The 'Company with a Heart' programme aims to improve the effectiveness of non-profit making organisations working to prevent social exclusion of socially or physically disadvantaged people. The programme has been operating since 2002.
Our work also included a series of seminars attended by 40 representatives of non-profit making organisations which provided a unique opportunity to learn about negotiating with corporate donors, attracting individual donations, non-profit making legislation and project management.
Corporate volunteering
In co-operation with the public benefit company Suchopýr, we created the corporate benefit programme, "A Step Closer to Nature".
We have provided both financial and employee volunteering support since 2003. We've bought and planted tree seedlings, established a waste separation unit, and supported both the Environmental Education Centre in in Oldřichov v Hájích and the Club of Friends of Jizerské Mountains. More than 200 volunteer hours are worked every year.
Finacial Literacy
'Read Before You Sign' was a key campaign involving a three year cooperation with the Czech Consumer Association. The main partners involved were the Czech Chamber of Advocates, Financial arbiter and British Chamber of Commerce. We plan to further develop this educational campaign and are also working with Sdruzeni SPES, a civic advisory, to produce educational brochures on responsible borrowing.
